LilMa Green® began as a small idea with a big heart: to help small businesses (Micros and SMEs) understand, measure and reduce their environmental impact without the jargon or the price tag.
Today, it is a free, independent platform sharing practical sustainability tools, templates and guidance for businesses. Its purpose is to help firms build resilience for the future and compete more fairly in supply chains, where green and low-carbon standards are increasingly becoming a barrier for smaller players.
Founded and personally funded by Mags, LilMa Green has grown from years of work in governance, risk and compliance, combined with a strong personal commitment to making sustainability more accessible. The platform reflects her belief that practical ESG support should not be limited to organisations with large budgets or specialist teams.
Mags has spent more than 35 years working across governance, risk and compliance in financial services, including banking, payments, e-money, fintech and digital assets. Over the last decade, she has seen sustainability and ESG move from a peripheral issue to a core part of resilience, governance, stakeholder expectations and long-term value.
Passionate about translating complex regulation and ESG concepts into practical action, she created LilMa Green to support micro businesses and SMEs that are too often left behind in the green transition. She continues to write, research and explore how AI and digital tools can make sustainability more transparent, inclusive and efficient.
As part of the platform, GreenMicro® (coming soon ) will provide a proportionate ESG certification for smaller firms, while Sprig, LilMa Green’s AI digital ESG consultant, offers free, tailored tools, resources and guidance.
LilMa Green remains independent, non-commercial and entirely free to access. Its goal is simple: to make sustainability approachable and achievable – one business, one idea and one small change at a time.
